ButaPub is always awesome - we like to come as a group for Trivia Night. I have no idea if there's any solution to this big nachtschwärmer cham of people will always be loud but it would be nice if something could be done to make it easier to participate - maybe a screen displaying the questions or something. Food was awesome and drinks were great. More vegetarian options would definitely be appreciated. Can't wait till next time. It was served with a Cajun remoulade, but he asked for tartar sauce instead. He was told by the waitress that the chef was busy and pretty annoyed by the special request and would not be able to do it. Also, it was freezing and drafty in the restaurant. It's great to have music, we were happy it was a throwback hip hop day. It was just so loud. Couldn't hear the other people at our tiny table loud. Also, the bench seating in the middle of the room is uncomfortable. Our server was so incredibly nice and very accommodating, but the restaurant seemed way understaffed and we really felt that when we waited for long periods of time with no drink refills and no food. It took an hour to get our food 6 people at the table and the restaurant didn't seem at capacity. Just understaffed and the customers were underserved. I hope this was just a fluke and not the norm. I would give it a second shot. Crunchy wings and fried chicken with an outstanding sauces. The fish and chips were tasty and also had the perfect crunch. Rib eye rice bowl was delicious with the meat perfectly tender in a tangy sauce. Great beer choices and some very interesting drinks. Wait staff was quite slow, but she had too many tables to cover and the music speaker was directly above my mom and dad whose hearing is not so good. Second time back with in a month. This time we had Rachel for our server and she did an excellent job. We will be coming back, love and recommend this place to anyone who will listen It is what it is and we visited on Valentine's. This was our second visit. Asian influenced menu but definitely a Korean e. Not much on menu for the non-pork, non-spicy crowd but what they do with pork and spicy was very tasty. Tuna with hot pepper appetizer was excellent and I actually had the pub burger with egg that was outstanding. I would go back but need to convince my steady date as we are in south wedge 2x per week. My boyfriend and I were in Rochester for his birthday and wanted to try something new and unique. The restaurant itself had great atmosphere. Normally I hate live music because it's always too loud. This place had it at the perfect level, you could hear your date, the music, and yourself think so it wasn't overwhelming. The food was outstanding, we tried the wings, which we were both blown away by. The poutine fries, pub burger, and chicken nachtschwärmer cham sandwich, all excellent choices. Lastly our waitress Tria, did a great job. We will absolutely be returning and recommending Nachtschwärmer cham. We went to ButaPub after hearing that it had delicious food. Our salad, Brussels Sprouts, and curry main dish were all outstanding. The cocktails were unique and equally delicious. It was very loud - difficult to have a conversation at our table for two - but the quality of the food and cocktails means we're very likely to return. Went to putapub for a date night. We sat at our table for thirty minutes without receiving any service. Eventually my husband walked around to find an employee who could assist us, but was unsuccessful. We decided to leave and go else where. If you want to come here for dinner come before the band and crowd arrive. Definitely not a good late night dinner spot. Butapub has never disappointed me. The brunch we ate was one of the best in Rochester, with the perfect amount of savory and sweet. I would highly recommend the Butapub Eggs Benedict. Everything about it was amazing and I'm still dreaming about how good it was. Other honorable mentions include the burger, bourbon donuts, and the pulled pork hash. The other 4 individuals really enjoyed their food, and perhaps would give a different review. I am gluten- and egg-free and eat very little meat, so only found one thing on menu to order other than salad. Plus the sauce made it quite soupy, which I had not expected. The Chicken and donuts looked amazing, and my friend really enjoyed it. The service was very good. If you are a meat eater and don't need a special diet, it would be worth a try. My wife and I went for dinner on a Friday night around 7pm. Atmosphere was closer to bar than restaurant, although not overly loud or overbearing for diners like some other spots in the South Wedge area of Rochester. If I were to rate those experiences, ButaPub would have earned 4+ stars. Unfortunately, I'm rating this based on my Friday night 9pm dinner experience. They manage to keep their dishes authentic but still add a slight twist. I love pork belly, so if you got it, I'm probably going to like it. I could barely make out what the waitress was nachtschwärmer cham. If they do, I would try another place. We so glad to have Butapub in nachtschwärmer cham neighborhood. My husband and I love to go there for date night. The good excellent and very unique. We have learned to order our plates one at a time rather than all at once- if we do that, they all nachtschwärmer cham out at once and we like to pace our meal. The cocktails are great too!.
